Call Center Sales Trainer Job Description

Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to deliver training content in support of call center sales for new hires and existing call center sales representatives. Secondary responsibilities include development of training material, coordination and facilitation of training events and initiatives. The trainer will also actively engage in providing coaching to new hires to ensure optimum performance during training, and assess performance through training certifications. This position requires a high level of communication and interaction with operations, acting upon opportunities determined to positively impact operations. Duties and Responsibilities: Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:
• Delivery of content on topics which include sales process, products, services and soft skills training
• Develops material for presentation in multiple formats -- leader-led classroom, self-study, on-line/JoinMe delivery, and other means as required to meet the business need
• Coordinates and reviews materials with stakeholders to ensure consistent delivery and implementation of all company initiatives
• Performs needs analysis, specifying content and format
• Evaluates and measures post-training performance to refine and improve training content and format, monitors and tracks delivered training, certification and testing
• Proactively engages Supervisors/Managers/Directors in communication, and identifies and acts upon opportunities which will positively impact operations
• Develops training measurements via quizzes and certifications. Reviews individual certifications to ascertain level of retention, ability to perform the assigned role and coaches employees to the desired level of performance
• Provides continuous coaching to representatives on all aspects of their performance, to include critical skills needed to perform their role successfully. Directly supervises the representatives during training, carrying out all supervisory responsibilities in accordance with applicable policies and procedures
• Provides direct feedback regarding trainee behavior to hiring managers, training manager and human resources, partnering to develop a course of action appropriate for the situation. • The qualified candidates should possess a four year college degree in education, training, marketing or equivalent experience Experience/Skills Needed:
• Highly motivated individual, able to work without direct supervision, able to communicate and work proactively with internal customers
• Organized with strong attention to details
• Proven ability to facilitate a live training event or online webinars
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to write a variety of communication pieces to provide information pertinent to training
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment where flexibility and teamwork are essential
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships while maintaining level of professionalism
• Prior sales experience in the telecommunications industry is strongly preferred
• Must have proven ability to creatively develop and deliver training materials
• Must possess superior communication skills, both verbal and written. Must have proven ability to effectively present training materials (both technical and soft skills)
• Call center sales experience is preferred Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and basic understanding of accessing and utilizing web based applications.
