Call Center Representative Job Description

Provide our world-renowned health care team with outstanding call center support in this full time opportunity!


In this role you will be interacting with patients, families, and health care providers.



Your scope of duties will include the following:

  • Responsible for receiving, responding and returning inbound phone calls. 
  • Screen incoming telephone calls to determine customer needs and to facilitate timely and appropriate services.
  • Make outbound calls to members for problem resolution and in structured telephone outreach programs aimed at improving quality and regulatory compliance. 
  • Provide timely and effective customer service to prospective external clients/customers in accordance with departmental and Agency standards. 
  • Determine customer/provider needs and responds in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction. 
  • Work under general direction.


Brooklyn Call Center Job

Call Center Representative Job Requirements


High School Diploma or the equivalent required.  Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, English, Public Relations (equivalent work experience) or related field, or the equivalent preferred.



  • Minimum of two years customer service experience in a health care call center setting required. 
  • Effective oral/verbal communication and customer service skills required. 
  • PC skills including Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel required. 


Bilingual skills:

Spanish, Chinese, Russian
