Call Center Customer Service Representative Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

The customer service is responsible for the daily office activities to support customers, agents and the shipping department. Entering orders in the system, answering phone calls and e-mails, processing orders for shipping, tracking shipments are the main responsibilities.

  • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
  • Manage phone calls and e-mails to answer customer questions (prices, inventory availability, delivery time, shipment tracking)
  • Order entry (enter in our ERP system the orders received from customers)
  • Processing orders for shipping (prepare packing slip for the warehouse, print labels and shipping documents)
  • Follow up with supply chain to make sure there are no late orders
  • Work with customer’s web site to download labels, packing list, Upload shipping information

  • SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITY
  • Request shipping quotes to minimize company freight cost
  • Check for updates from production as needed
  • Revise open orders and send revised acknowledgement to the customer
  • Claims resolution and management

  • SKILLS / BACKGROUND REQUIRED
  • Previous experience in a similar position (3 years)
  • Excellent computer knowledge is a must (Excel, word, outlook, ERP)
  • Excellent communication skills with customers and agents
